There is a world out there of little people, delicate people, but to the common eye, they are only flowers. This unknown world, captured by Karalla before the sun shined its glorious light, was found in the Murgia of the Sassi di Matera, Italy. The red poppies hold poses, and some look like they are returning from war.  Others form clusters like tight-knit families.  Lying in the dirt, unlocking this visual magic, Karalla is at their level, with them in their beauty, hearing their stories and waiting for the sun to warm them of the night’s dew.
